The organisation
Our client is a world's leading manufacturer in the non food FMCG market with a variety of strong brands
and several manufacturing facilities in Europe. For their facilities in The Netherlands and the Baltic states,
we are looking for a Lead Buyer who will further professionalise the purchasing strategy.

Your Tasks and Mission
You will become responsible for the purchasing of all goods required for their plant operations in the
FMCG market and you will co-operate closely with production and engineering departments to meet
the highest possible Service Levels this market requires. Also you will be responsible for the procurement
of all facility services required for the plant in The Netherlands and the Baltic states.

You will be accountable for initiating new cost cutting projects and you will be leading a small team of commodity buyers. To achieve your goals you will work - in major projects - closely together with the companies strategic procurement department responsible for procurement for all global manufacturing facillities.

Your role and responsibilities
to ensure the conformity of procurement processes on your site,
to manage a small team of commodity buyers (3-5 fte),
You have experience with global sourcing and sourcing in Eastern Europe,
to optimize your vendors portfolio based on Risk Assessment, TCO and SLA's,
to pro-actively identify cost improvement projects and support there implementation,
to manage and conduct all business and / or contracts,
to understand and support environmental, health & safety requirements, and to inform suppliers
and subcontractors regarding their commitments to meet these rules and expectations,
to lead negotiations with support of Central Buyers when appropriate,
to create or support a decision making framework related to capital projects,
to optimize processes and improve efficiency,
to manage supplier relationships and communication and implementation of new opportunities
with various departments professionally,
to initiate and professionalise monitoring tools.

Your Profile
You are a Senior Buyer with leading capacities and at least five to six years experience,
You are familiar with the FMCG market and used to work together with production and
engineering departments,
You have completed your finished University (or HBO) education or similar,
You have a strong ability to negotiate and experience with Sourcing on a global level,
You are communicative and skilled to promote team work.
You are organised, open minded, listening to others and capable of driving several
purchasing projects simultaneously,
You have strong analytical and reporting capacities,
You are fluent in Dutch and English and knowledge of German would be an advantage.
